Oil Spill or Corporate Bust?

Obama jailed is Symbolic of What's happening in America

The BP Oil spill has been in the news for weeks now with Obama championing a cleanup. As Americans try to repair the delicate fabric of our country, a closer look at the foundations of our past, the Constitution, becomes imperative.

Black America looks on as Barack Obama attempts to make a mark on our landscape. The conservative top brass from places like Boston have pulled back on their advice, while helping minorities understand that it’s not easy to be a navigator.

Traditionally, politicians have graduated from top Ivy League Law Schools even sometimes practicing law, “pro bono,” with years of experience. It was commendable for Obama to step up and  to try and seize a window of opportunity, but a true insider would question whether the Republicans actually wanted the job this past election. America was caught in a terrible forward-looking scenario.

America was working it’s way through what I termed, a “Snow Storm.” Barack supporters may argue that this was the only opportunity for a black to ever make it to the White House with immigration taking a toll on the U.S.

Chicago continues to “tap dance” through a mine field of delicate issues hoping to move forward to some degree. As things heat up and the clock ticks down for the term of a black administration, Obama starts lining up private interests. Barak Obama and Deval Patrick are visibly changing the impression of what America will be by simply being in office. However, behind closed doors there are definitely tap dance classes taking place.

They might make it out of high school and to the Ivy Leagues on a basketball scholarship, but what are the chances of them succeeding without being groomed by their “white tutors.”

The all too familiar story of a “high school basketball star” doing whatever it takes to get out of the ghetto even if it crosses the line seems to be playing out on a different platform. In this case, 9 times out of 10, the supposed star has sold his soul and ends back up in the ghetto after college. The majority of black America finds itself looking up to Barack not really knowing what’s happening behind the “velvet rope or iron curtain.”

In an effort not to be introspective, comments should be made about the Obama Administration’s effect on the majority of America. The least I can say is that it’s a tangled web with pitfalls on both sides.

I am sure Boston is wondering why Deval didn’t run for office on his side of the railroad tracks? Or perhaps he saw an opportunity to become an “overseer” of sorts?

During this period of supposed progress, the welfare and unemployment rolls are swelling along with the jailed population. The prosecutors are busy laying bear traps for politicians from Detroit (ford/mayors) to Birmingham (governor’s case). In a neutral question of pros and cons, how do you keep the peace without prisons, the law, and counterclaims? I suddenly thought about an analogy of the years of “Water Gate,” but was fearful there might be too many correlations.

Suddenly, Black American leaders are going 3 steps back for every 1 step forward.

Where do you draw the line to “Get into Office?”
